Natalia 1200x800 5 Picchiotti has a reputation for building go-anywhere mega yachts that are capable of roaming the most remote corners of the world and remaining at sea for weeks at a time, and Natalia V is the perfect example of elite engineering from the prestigious Italian shipyard.

Launched in 1990, this 148’6 (45.25m) eco-friendly yacht underwent a full interior refit and contemporary redesign this year (2022) which was overseen by feted Italian-born and Paris-based interior designer Tino Zervudachi, whose past successes include Nathaniel Rothschild’s home in Rio de Janeiro and the five star flagship marina hotel Porto Montenegro.

Indeed, Natalia V, which is registered in Valletta, also boasts a coveted Made in Italy stamp of approval, making her the ideal ambassador for Italian design both inside and out.

With her lean, clean classic lines, spacious teak exterior decks perfect for soaking up the ocean views and natural light-flooded interiors throughout, Natalia V is guaranteed to wow the most discerning guests with her sophisticated and elegantly chic style.

Sleeping a maximum of 12 guests across five beautifully furnished ensuite staterooms, Natalia V’s full-beam master suite on the main deck offers a stylish walk-in dressing room area and ensuite bathroom. Two further doubles and two twin cabins complete the accommodation and are situated on the lower deck.

Light wood panelling, soft toned furnishings and neutrally coloured carpets create an intimate and homely feel on board, with family-style dining adjacent to the open plan main deck salon benefitting from oversized windows looking straight out across the ocean.

A further al fresco dining option with additional banquette seating on the upper deck aft is the perfect spot for lazy breakfasts and casual light lunches between activities while the sun deck jacuzzi, nestled in the middle of several enormous sun pads, provides the optimum spot for tanning by day and sunset aperitivos by night as well as laidback movie nights under the stars courtesy of a projector.

A beach-style swim deck platform is the perfect launch point for a host of fun water-based adventures – two tenders, two jet skis, a SeaBob, waterslide, monoski and water skis for adults and children, wakeboard, donut, banana and snorkelling equipment all abound, making sure every guest is well catered for.

Indeed, Natalia V’s nine-strong, child-friendly crew and fluid, versatile layout make her a consistently popular choice among mixed age family groups as do her traditional cruising grounds of the east Mediterranean, Greece and Turkey in the summer season and the Caribbean, British and US Virgin Islands, Leeward and Windward islands during the winter months.

On the technical front too, Natalia V is well versed and expertly crafted, with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure as well as a maximum speed of 16 knots and an average cruising speed of 13 knots. She boasts a beam of 8.4m, a draft of 2.6m (ensuring safe passage to navigate through shallow waterways) and a volume of 437 GT.

Furthermore, her transatlantic range means she is the perfect expedition style cruiser for those who seek the unadulterated joy of complete privacy and isolated surroundings away from the crowds. The opportunity to go off-grid and explore far flung territories in total tranquillity is an undeniable factor in her enduring appeal.

Electric zero-speed stabilizers provide ultimate comfort at sea while her green credentials extend to the brand new Baudouin 1,400 BHP engines, which offer low emissions, reduced noise output and controlled fuel consumption, ensuring lower environmental impact on her surroundings.

All told, this seamless blend of 21st century technology and timeless comfort create an exceptionally smooth yacht to be truly reckoned with at the cutting edge of modern engineering.
