This 45m Trident was built in 2000 and underwent a contemporary refit in excess of one million dollars in summer 2020 to make her match fit for 2021. Located year-round in St Maarten, Surina offers discerning charterers the perfect Caribbean escape.
Overseen by Espinosa Yacht Design, her fresh, modern interiors feature tonal colours, interesting and colourful artworks, and cutting edge furnishings to ensure perfect relaxation for the entire party after an active day on the water. Additionally, Surina’s decks and interior flooring are eco-friendly.
Surina’s main salon is open plan, featuring panoramic windows, a bar, cool grey modular sofas, walnut side tables and on the main deck aft, a circular dining area for eight which is perfect for intimate and laidback suppers or lunches.
With further formal dining forward of the foyer for more sophisticated, gastronomic soirees, she ticks all the boxes when it comes to choosing different eating areas designed to suit changing moods.
An extravagant central staircase leads to the skylounge, which offers comfortable sofa seating, further panoramic window views, a games table and a bar as well as alfresco dining for 10 aft along with an outside bar and gas barbecue for casual entertaining. The delightful sun deck boasts a raised jacuzzi, generous sun pad area and stylish seating area on the bow perfect for catching a glorious sunset with an apero in hand.
Entertainment options on board include a Marantz music system with iPad remote control and surround sound throughout the interior and on the sun deck. The yacht is served by a professional and efficient team of eight crew.
Surina sleeps 10 across five contemporary staterooms located below. The master stateroom is spacious and full width aft, with more than ample storage, a cedar-lined closet and his and hers bathrooms decorated in eye-catching deep blue marble with a central steam zone and shower. Two queen suites and two oversize twins are all ensuite, and all staterooms are equipped with TVs, DVD and DVR systems.
An enticing array of watersports equipment includes a large floating island style beach club and 9m x 7.6m pool, two Yamaha waverunners, four inflatable paddle boards, two rigid paddleboards, water skis, two wakeboards, knee boards, skurf board, snorkel gear and deep sea and off yacht fishing gear. There is also an option to scuba dive for certified divers with an instructor provided by the owner while gym fans can access yoga mats, dumb bells, kettle bells and medicine balls.
On the catering front, Surina’s chef is highly skilled at cuisine from all corners of the globe. Enjoy an arrival day lunch of tuna poke bowl, crunchy chicken salad, falafel salad with lemon and garlic dressing and a delicious veggie and nut salad with lemon and tahini yoghurt dressing followed by peanut butter brownies and vanilla ice cream.
A typical evening menu might begin with lobster bisque before a choice of rib eye steak with red wine jus, asparagus, sauteed mushrooms and cauliflower puree, seared mahi mahi with saffron risotto and mango salsa or vegan lentil meatballs with Indian coconut curry sauce. A delicious lavender crème brulee or New York cheesecake served with berry compote and whipped cream finishes dinner service with a flourish.
There are also chances to sample themed global cuisine nights including an Indian banquet of dhal soup followed by beef korma, palak paneer, vegetarian jalfrezi and butter chicken served with garlic naan, raita, salsa and papadums. Dessert is rasamalai and Thandai Phirni-spiced rice pudding. Asian fare is also a speciality, with won ton soup followed by seared ahi tuna served with crispy sesame green beans and Singapore noodles.
