Lady I

  • 42.6m | CRN Ancona | 2008 (2019)
Lady 1 1200x800 At first glance, this streamlined 42.60m superyacht oozes a luxe, old-world ambience from her core. Indeed, if it’s the little touches that mark a craft out from the crowd, Lady I achieves this – and then some.

With a thoughtful and stylish €1m plus 2019 refit inspired by the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 30s carried out by Zuccon International Project, this 2008 build by CRN Ancona offers the ultimate in luxury cruising experiences.

The main salon sets the tone for the entire craft, with pale armchairs and a sofa in a distinctive curved design with inlaid decorative copper panels perfectly complementing the light marble coffee tables and cream rug.

The theme continues with curved Art Deco tub dining chairs beautifully setting off the adjacent dining area, an intimate and cosy space ideal for hosting gastronomic feasts or candlelit suppers.

An upper deck sky lounge provides yet more room for stylish entertaining, with a small bar, sofa seating, games table and small dining set up perfect for morning coffee or relaxed early evening aperos.

Al fresco dining for 12 on the upper deck is capacious, with an oversized built-in white sofa banquette featuring splashes of zingy orange cushions occupying the entire width of the yacht aft, providing the spot du jour for kicking back after a day of exploring and activities. A generous sun deck is elegantly appointed with numerous cushioned teak sun loungers, an informal outdoor dining set up, sun pads and a raised jacuzzi in prime position.

One of the advantages of Lady I is the multiple seating and entertaining areas, meaning that large family groups have more than enough space to come together as well as enjoy different pursuits away from the crowd.

Sleeping 10 guests in five ensuite cabins, stateroom accommodation consists of double suites – two of which can be converted to twins if required - with the master quarters on the main deck also enjoying a private balcony.

All suites are naturally bright and elegantly attired in crisp white linens with copper accents, built-in storage and cabinetry and dressing rooms while some offer a chaise longue and desk. The recent upgrade includes new TVs and sound systems in each cabin as well as on deck and in the salons. There is iPad control for the blinds, music, TV and lighting.

A spacious and well equipped, dedicated office accessed through the master quarters is decorated in light wood and cream furnishings with ample room for two work stations, meaning you never have to take your eye off the ball.

Raising the bar that little bit higher, you’ll also be able to enjoy beauty and body treatments in the zen-like health spa, complete with sauna and pontoon. A masseuse and manicurist are part of the nine-strong crew led by Captain Ivan Bilaver (there’s also a fisherman and singer on the team, and between them they speak five languages.)

Water sports enthusiasts will get huge pleasure out of the jet ski, two Seabobs, water skis, E-foil, paddleboards and snorkelling gear. A 10m tender can ferry you to shore and there is also a beach club for lazy days soaking up the sunshine.

This year’s summer cruising is based in Turkey and the Dodecanese Islands.

On the food front, special diets and requests can easily be catered for, with a wide and delectable range of different cuisines on offer, often inspired by the surroundings.

Lady I is operated by two Caterpillar C32C diesel engines and cruises at 13 knots, achieving a top speed of 15.5 knots.
