Built in 2009 and refitted in 2022 with a quirky nod to her oceanic surroundings, at 23.77m (78 ft), Ammonite offers the ultimate in hedonism and escapism for adventurous spirits.
The main salon possesses an informal, comfortable and relaxed vibe, clad in polished wood with extensive seating, natural toned carpets, a wine fridge and a cosy dining area. There are also a couple of further alfresco dining options including one with banquette on the aft deck.
Multiple indoor and outdoor lounge areas will delight guests, offering comfy oversized sun pads, cocktail corners and perfect spots in which to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family while soaking up the beautiful scenery as you glide through the stunning waters.
Sleeping six to seven across three spacious staterooms comprising one master king and two VIP queens - one of which features a pullman - classic dark wood cabinetry and state of the art TV systems feature in all cabins. A characterful master comprises window seating with cleverly concealed storage beneath, sisal style carpeting and an ensuite with jacuzzi bath, shower, double sinks and a vast vanity area.
Staterooms are ocean-themed featuring colourful soft furnishings and bed linens which reference the sea at every turn. Even the aquamarine hued crockery nods to the spectacular surroundings of a paradise location!
Water-based activities include kayaking (one of the two kayaks is crystal clear), paddle boarding, wake boarding, snorkelling and world class fishing in the azure waters. She has a 26ft Regulator tender, ideal for remote diving and sport fishing, and a 17ft ZAR semi-ridged inflatable.
Based out of Marsh Harbour, Abaco in the Bahamas, Ammonite takes full advantage of her location as a specialist diving craft, offering an incredible selection of PADI courses including a two day Open Water Certification and one day discovery and refresher dives. She is also equipped with an onboard Nitrox system and a full selection of dive equipment.
You’ll find yourself scuba diving alongside sharks, turtles and other colourful marine life under the expert guidance of Captain Adam Rees, Ammonite’s Bahamian resident dive expert. A PADI Elite Instructor, he has provided more than 900 certification courses to divers of all levels, aided by a highly experienced mate/dive guide.
Furthermore, explore the delights of the nearby Exhumas where you can swim with the famous resident pigs, as well as experiencing island life in the Eleutheras at Harbour Island and Spanish Cay.
Your onboard dining will be catered fabulously by Beth Fradd De Bree in the polished cherry wood full galley. Pull up a bar stool and watch the preparations over an apero - with the myriad deep sea and inshore fishing opportunities available, you can even witness your own freshly caught catch of the day being prepared and served to you alongside a delicious array of salads and sides.
Ammonite’s cruising grounds include Costa Rica, the Leeward and Windward Islands as well as her home waters of The Bahamas and her crew of three take pride in delivering an intimate and highly efficient service that caters to your every need.
On the technical front, Ammonite is powered by an MTU Series 60 engine with a 3000 range and boasts a displacement fibreglass hull configuration, air conditioning throughout, stabilisers at anchor and WiFi. She can reach a maximum speed of 11 knots, with a cruising speed of 9 knots, and her shallow draft is a further advantage, allowing her to anchor close to coves and sheltered bays overnight.
