The Captains

With two captains on rotation, guests are in the most capable of hands on board Axioma. Born in Australia, Captain Shane Quinlan has always loved being on the water, and it was for this reason that he joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1993. Shane holds various qualifications including Master of vessels up to 3,000GT, PADI Rescue Diver, High Ropes Abseiling Instructor and even Explosive Demolitions.

Working alongside him, Captain Charles Rowlands has 23 years of experience on board, including managing the crews of large yachts all over the world. Charles has earned the highest qualifications – MCA Class IV 3000 GRT, Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster Ocean and PADI Rescue Diver – and has a proven ability to motivate people effectively while always maintaining a professional, safe and approachable attitude.

The Experience

One of the most popular charter yachts afloat, Axioma boasts everything guests could possibly need for an unforgettable escape. Ideal for wellbeing retreats, Axioma’s main deck truly offers the ‘wow’ factor, a relaxing space with a huge infinity pool surrounded by deck.

Continuing inside to the main salon, guests will be awestruck by the huge ceilings of Axioma’s double height mezzanine, adding a vast sense of space to an already hugely spacious yacht. Looking to relax and rejuvenate? Head to Axioma’s fully equipped spa, complete with a state-of-the-art gym, massage room and steam room. The spa is proud to operate in partnership with luxury beauty brand Sothys, with onboard spa therapists offering a wide range of exquisite face and body treatments.

For evening entertainment on board, Axioma’s two captains and multi-talented crew prepare spectacular themed nights from Vegas casino to Hollywood Oscars. And for younger guests, anything is possible, from fun Harry Potter parties to exciting pirate treasure hunts. With a 3D cinema, a hot tub with a bar, superb water toys, including jet skis, SeaBobs, dive and snorkel equipment and a range of inflatables, we invite guests to come on board and discover the Axioma way of life.

The Cuisine

Head Chef Sascha Lenz spent years training in Germany after a broken knee saw him retire early from a budding football career, and when it comes to cuisine, he is a master of many. From Turkish and Moroccan to Spanish, Italian and French, he takes inspiration from the Mediterranean, with delicious fresh seafood a speciality.

Top of his list of dishes are a fresh tartare with salmon and avocado, or a Peruvian ceviche marinated in lime. The more health-conscious will be pleased to learn that Sasha loves cooking up macrobiotic dishes, too – think miso soup, lentils and whole grains – which he learnt in Alicante. Having worked with the 3 Michelin Star chef Juan Amador in Germany, Sascha is also fluent in the art of molecular gastronomy, so he’ll be sure to impress guests looking for a show at the dinner table.

“For me, the perfect superyacht destination is one that combines beautiful scenery with fantastic produce,” says Sacha. “The Amalfi Coast is one of my favourite places thanks to its amazing lemons and limes, while the seafood and products of Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro are also excellent.”
